Product Description
Polar Chest Strap and Transmitters sold as a set. Features: Works only with CS600 and RS800

Amazon.com Product Description
Slim, lightweight, and completely waterproof, the Polar T31 non-coded transmitter and belt set accurately transmits your heart rate data to your Polar wrist-top computer. As a result, it's easy to monitor your heart rate during training runs. This version of the T31 is non-coded. If you're concerned about crosstalk from other electronic devices, Polar sells a coded version of the T31 as well. The transmitter belt--which works with all current Polar wrist-top computers except the CS600 and RS800--includes a sealed transmitter and elastic strap.

About Polar
The first EKG accurate wireless heart rate monitor was invented by Polar back in 1977 as a training tool for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The concept of "intensity training" by heart rate swept the athletic world in the eighties. By the 1990s, individuals were looking to heart rate monitors not only for performance training needs, but also for achieving everyday fitness goals. Today, the same concept of heart rate training is being used by world-class athletes as well as everyday people trying to lose weight. Polar is the leading brand among consumers, coaches, and personal trainers worldwide and the company is committed to not only producing the best products, but also being the leading educator on the benefits of heart rate based exercise.

5 out of 5 stars Acceptable   June 25, 2010
James E. Kyker (Niota, Tennessee)
Receipt of the item was timely. The non-coded transmitter works with both of my receivers, one of which is not a Polar. The only complaint is that no access to change the battery. My first Polar transmitter allowed for battery replacement.
Cost was minimal. The replacement cost now about ten times more. Not good. Just another "throw away" marketing concept. Makes the consumer buy a new one each time a battery runs down.

4 out of 5 stars Polar non coded belt   May 27, 2010
Carolyn (Milwaukee, WI)
I got this to replace the belt I lost. It works just like the original... I only gave four stars because it wouldn't transmit for a while when I first opened it. I realized this was because it was too flat from the packaging and it was fine after the plastic loosened up a little.

4 out of 5 stars Works with Schwinn Airdyne Evo Comp   May 26, 2010
Ryan Coutant (Bergen County, NJ, US)
I bought this to use with my Schwinn Airdyne Evo Comp Exercise Bike and it works. It would be nice if there was an on/off button but it does the job. Based on the other reviews I hope the battery lasts a few years at least.

5 out of 5 stars Polar T31 transmitter & Belt works great   May 24, 2010
Kathryn Kling (Moraga, CA)
My Polar T31 non-coded transmitter & Belt works absolutely great. It synchronized with the Polar watch the first time I wore the belt.

3 out of 5 stars It's Okay   April 1, 2010
M. E. Middleton
I purchased this monitor to do some heart rate zone training on the treadmill (treadmill automatically adjusts incline to stay in the target zone). It seems to work okay and I like not having to use the handgrips for heart rate. The strap fits fine, no discomfort. My biggest problem may be the strap or it may be the treadmill, but I have to be at the very front of the treadmill for it to pick up the signal. If I back off at all it loses the signal. I have only used it while walking, but I think this could be particularly annoying while running as I do not run that close to the front of the treadmill. If the problem is the treadmill, I'd give the transmitter five stars. If the problem is the transmitter, I'd give it 2 stars.
